The myth of revolution
You may have read a lot of cartoons in your life. There's a typical pattern you might have concentrated on. The hero is weak at the first time. And after he trains severely for a while, (it's really short time in the paper) or after he discovers a treasure which empowers the hero, he becomes invincible. He breaks all enemies with his little finger.
Most people know this kind of stories and get used to consider it as an essential condition of success. So after they get stronger, they're intoxicated with their advancement, change, and revolution. Then, they notice enemies are bigger and bigger, but don't care so far they're overtaken.
Although we say the rabbit in a tale is stupid, there are few people who know that the rabbit is himself. Mighty people proceed to achieve their aim though the result is trifling. And finally, they arrive at the goal.
