Okay, then we’d better consider that “what is good idea?” There’s a bunch of ideas in the globe and lots of products are coming out today. I think that good idea has three things. I like to call them 3C: Convenience, Closeness, and neCessity.
Convenience is a really important matter when you take an idea. Good idea can revamp typical operation onto simple, fast, and clear one. Yes, convenience includes simplicity, quickness, and manifestation. If your idea delivers others such convenience, your idea is a little possible to succeed.
Closeness is a part of convenience but a little bit different. I have an example. Suppose that someone invented a car which can dug into the ground. But nobody knows it. He is the only one who uses the machine. Do you think it’s a good idea? No. If your idea cannot be used, it is not a good idea. Generally, good idea makes the world better.
Lastly, necessity is an essential issue. To make a business with an idea, you must answer the question: “who need this?” I’ve a simple anecdote about necessity. I’d been ordered a task that I should add pop-up type advertisement in a certain application. Then I refused the task. I knew that people hate pop-up ads. It was not good idea and I suggest a fixed banner ads instead.
Good idea is not good as long as nobody uses it. Idea should be shared so that everyone can feel better with the idea. Banana shaped case works because it looks so sweet (satisfying Convenience), and it’s easily found in the nearest supermarket (satisfying Closeness), and people like banana (satisfying neCessity).
